Stemma Malacari

THE TERROIR

In the heart of Italy, between the Apennines and the Adriatic Sea, the Marche reveal a landscape rising from the shoreline to Monte Conero, where white limestone cliffs meet Mediterranean vegetation.

Further inland to the west, on the rolling hills surrounding the medieval village of Offagna, our vineyards unfold. Here, on calcareous and clay soils tempered by sea breezes, Montepulciano finds its most authentic expression within the Conero DOCG and Conero DOC appellations. In Montecarotto, in the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi area, we cultivate Verdicchio on sandy and clay soils that lend structure, minerality and finesse.

THE ESTATE

Malacari Estate, among the oldest wineries in the Marche region, is a long-standing viticultural estate that exclusively cultivates and vinifies grapes from its own vineyards, following an organic approach.

Founded in 1668, the estate draws from a family tradition that has cared for these lands with respect and dedication for fifteen generations. Its 15 hectares of vineyards yield approximately 37,000 bottles annually. Our approach is traditional and artisanal: working with indigenous varieties, we accompany the natural growth of the vine, learning continuously from nature in order to craft wines that unite terroir and heritage.

Today, under the guidance of Alessandro Starrabba Malacari, the estate continues along this path, transforming its grapes into wines that express authenticity, history, and a deep connection to the land.

SUSTAINABILITY

Our philosophy is rooted in preserving a precious territory, respecting its natural rhythms and balance.

Since 2010, Malacari Agricultural Estate has embraced an organic approach, adopting organic practices designed to protect the hilly landscape and its fragile clay soils. Through the exclusive use of natural products and the revival of traditional techniques such as cover cropping, the Estate has strengthened vine vitality. This balance results in healthier vineyards, reduced environmental impact, and higher wine quality. A sustainable path that generates long-term environmental value.

Above all, we consider ourselves guests of these hills, cultivating them with respect and receiving the gifts that nature offers by adapting our work to the rhythm it sets.

HOSPITALITY

A guardian of history and memory, Villa Malacari opens its doors to those who wish to immerse themselves in its story.

The 17th-century Villa stands in the heart of Offagna, along the road leading to the medieval village and its Rocca, set within the landscape of the Marche hills. The villa preserves the elegance of a historic residence, still deeply connected to the life of the surrounding countryside. Today, it welcomes those seeking an authentic hospitality experience. On the upper floor, the Bed & Breakfast rooms offer quiet and views over the Italian garden; on the ground floor, the historic cellars house the production of Malacari wines and open their doors to guided visits and tastings. The garden and halls become spaces for gatherings, events and special occasions, a place where history, nature and hospitality coexist.
